The short version: Second Stream does not sell your data, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not show you ads. The app is free and supported by optional tips.
Second Stream is an iOS app developed by Nicolas Widynski ("we", "us", or "our"). If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at secondstream@nwidynski.com.
We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service:
Your data is used solely to operate the app:
We do not use your data for any purpose beyond what is necessary to provide these features.
Second Stream fetches content from the RSS feeds, podcast feeds, and YouTube channels you subscribe to. Those sources are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not share your identity with them.
AI summaries are generated using a third-party language model API. Feed content is transmitted to generate summaries but is not stored beyond what is necessary for processing.
In-app purchases (tip jar) are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store any payment information.
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at secondstream@nwidynski.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of the request.
Second Stream is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. Authentication is handled through Sign in with Apple, which does not expose your Apple ID credentials to us.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Questions, concerns, or data deletion requests can be sent to secondstream@nwidynski.com.
